Self-guided walks
Combe Walks has been guiding walkers around North Devon, Exmoor and Tarka Country since
1987, specifically with self-guided walks routes. These are ideal for single and small numbers of
walkers who like to be able to walk at their own pace, stopping when they want to enjoy the view
and refreshments. Please wear sensible shoes or walking boots, take waterproofs and a picnic and enjoy our walks.
Guided walks
We also guide walking groups, taking away the need for checking out the walks before coming to North Devon. This we do by either:
a. offering tailor-made walking holidays designed to fit the groups requirements, or
b. fitting in with a groups requirements and giving advice as necessary.
We are very considerate when guiding, taking into account the ability of the walkers within the group. We always give plenty of breaks as necessary, giving the slowest walkers a chance of a proper rest. We believe in a ratio of no more than 15 walkers per guide so that all walkers benefit from being guided and from our commentaries.
Qualifications
Bryan is qualified with the South West Mountain and Moorland Leader Training Scheme as a Summer Moorland Walking Leader. He also has a current Outdoors First Aid Certificate.
